  • In office, late. Incidently, Boss woman has sent a menacing email to the troops today about people being late. Not a very happy coincidence! #
  • @rohandighe By troops, I mean everyone #
  • @s4ur4bh Indian Bloggers eh? Aren’t you slightly late onto the scene. #
  • @vimoh Gah! What the fuck are you using to post tweets? Too many goddamned duplicates! My Twitterific is full of Vijayendra Mohanty! #

  • Been listening to Aatifesque Hindi songs for the past whole hour and quite liking it. #
  • NDTV is advertising for a show called Mahima Shani Dev Ki with a fairly shady looking Shani Dev. Losers! Is THIS what TV has come down to? #
  • Shani Dev vs Chuck Norris, anyone? I bet Chuck Norris can kick Shani Dev’s ass. #

  • I need a bloody shave. #
  • The best thing about http://www.mojaveexperiment.com is the 3D Flash (not Silverlight?) Video selector. Sadly, Vista in itself still sucks! #

Geeks, Come On In!

A blog post after ages. And that too, to pimp for my organization.

The Pitch

Its been a while since I’ve been working for this totally cool online marketing company which goes by the moniker of Webchutney. And life is good.

Webchutney was recently invested in by the Network18 Group, and since then on the company has been on a crazy growth spree.

Funnily enough, my role in the organization has also changed: from being a Social Media Analyst (which, I can assure you, is a very dubious thing to be), I turned into a Software Project Manager, responsible for lording over a small bunch of enthusiastic kids who built cool stuff like Facebook Applications, Widgets and suchlike - a special geek team, as it were. ChutneyLabs, we called it. Eventually, the thing turned serious, and this experiment metamorphosed into being Webchutney’s technology ‘arm’ for Bombay. And a formidable one at that.

In Bombay, we now have a team of 13 software professionals delivering solutions which encompass CMS Powered Portals, run-of-the-mill data-driven Websites, Social Network Apps, Widgets on the Desktop as well as the Web, Rich Internet Applications and anything else in between. And there’s great potential to do a lot more. Things a typical agency can either never do or never do right in this country.

And if there’s one thing we are obsessed with, that is doing things right. There’s a great many things we want to do right in the coming months. And, for that we want you to join us.

It will help if you are one of them smart sorts. One who is on the same page as the rest of the enlightened world when it comes to the online sphere. And if you have a twitter account that you actually use, or if The Hitchiker’s Guide To The Galaxy is your favorite book, there’s nothing like it!
